Rescue &
Rehabilitation
Over the past few years, the price of horses has sky
rocketed! Gone are the days of paying $500 for a decent trail or pleasure horse. In fact,
now a days you can plan on spending between $1,000 - $2,000 for a "backyard"
horse. If you are in the market for a show prospect, barrel horse, teampenner or any other
career specific horse, pricing can range anywheres between $3,000 - $20,000. One of
our goals is to make horses once again affordable while rescuing, rehabilitating and
placing them into loving homes. Keep checking with us as to what is
available
for adoption or for sale.

Weaver - a 6 yr old TB gelding we rescued in
March. Weaver (nicknamed for his Weaving) was severly malnourished, his hair was coming out from lice, and has burn
marks from abuse. Weaver has been adopted and has gained much of his weight back and has a
bright new shiney coat. What a beautiful boy he turned out to be! |

Keegan was found at a horse dealers both
starved and lame. We paid $350 so he would not go to slaughter. After gaining over 250 pounds,he is now a companion horse in a
loving home.

Adoption Program Adoption fees of rescued
horses vary from horse to horse depending on the purchase price of the horse and the
medical expenses encurred. Unfortunately, a lot of owners who are abusing their horses
will not give them up without a price. Many horses are purchased from auctions that would
otherwise end up at the killers. Some horses are donated to us as well. Rescued horses
vary; they may be registered or grades, young or older, ponies or drafts. All adoption
fees go toward the expenses of our rescue efforts. In most cases, adoption fees are
between $100 - $1,500. See our Premarin Foal Rescue program for more options.
