Spring HillRescues Three Horses in Critical Condition (Update)
On Tuesday, January 15, 2013, Spring Hill Horse Rescue was called to an emergency response to help three horses found in dire circumstances in Chittenden County, VT. More information is available on their condition on day of arrival under our news section.
Thanks to the support of so many people
including folks from as far as the UK, we were able to purchase much needed
heavy duty gate panels so that all 3 horses may enjoy their first time
outside in many years. Willie has had extensive hoof work and dental care.
Both Lolly and Dolly have also received much needed hoof care; we are still
continuing to work on their trust issues. Here are videos of each of them on
their first day out taken on March 3rd,2013. Although a little lengthy they
are well worth watching. Enjoy!
I'm so excited to show this video of Dolly's first time outside! This was filmed this morning. Beware - this is like 20 minutes long so grab a snack or a cup of coffee and enjoy! http://youtu.be/9uAnMJ3gIfU
This is footage of Willie's first outing in the daylight taken last week. Again, it's kind of lengthy but endearing :-) Enjoy!http://youtu.be/sBjKxT4KBnM
We are continuing to work feverishly to try to save these poor, terrified horses who have suffered years of horrific neglect and trauma. They need our help, and we need your help. The expenses to nurture them back to health are going to be very high and it will take months, and possibly years of extensive rehabilitation just to address their physical needs.
