Spring Hill Horse Rescue

Dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of abused,
neglected and slaughter-bound horses.

    Recently Adopted:

Dorothy – 14 year old AQHA Appendix mare. Dorothy is around 15.3 hh. She is a wonderful horse and has excellent ground manners. She is trained well and sensitive to body and leg cues so beginners might confuse her. She is forward on the trails but will go any where you ask. She does have some vision loss in one of her eyes but this doesn’t seem to affect her. Adoption Fee: $500.

Grace – 4 year old grade Quarter Horse mare. Grace was rescued from the New Holland sale in 2006. She was spooky and untrained but is now relaxed and had some time under saddle. She’s around 14.3 hh and beautifully built. She does need more training and an experienced person would best suite her. Adoption Fee: $600

Banjo - Banjo is a beautiful blankey Appaloosa gelding yearling. He is registered in both the American and Canadian Appaloosa Horse Clubs. Banjo and his handler Zoey Brown, took second in the Natural Horsemanship Equine Challenge Amateur Division. Banjo won the hearts of many with his sweet disposition and love for humans. Banjo's sale price is $1500. A real deal for this registered, gelded picture perfect Appaloosa - who has received extensive ground work. The proceedes go toward the many expenses of the Natural Horsemanship Equine Challenge which is a preventative educational program created by Spring Hill Horse Rescue. For more information and general inquiries regarding Banjo, please email springhillrescue@aol.com or call 802 775-1098.

Arian: a 14 yr old QHXArab mare. Arian is a nice mare with her own personality. She rides English & western but we haven't had a chance to evaluate her riding abilities much due to the weather. Arian has a tendency to pin her ears a lot which can make her misunderstood....poor girl! Her adoption fee is $500. Photos to follow soon.

Five-O: a 9 yr old Mustang gelding. He's a pretty bay, around 14.2 hh. Five-O has had basic riding training and has been round penned but would need reschooling as he hasn't done much over the past few years. He is very cautious around strangers and would need one person to gain mutual trust with. He would make a great project horse. His adoption fee is $300. Photos to follow soon.

Pez - This cute little filly won first place at the 2006 Natural Horsemanship Equine Challenge Amatuer Division. Her handler Evelyn was a student of Nicky Frechette, Rookery Ranch, Keene, NY. Evelyn and Pez did a great job performing the tasks of the obstacle course and the onlookers were very impressed by this yearling filly's calm demeanor and willingness to please. Pez's sale price is $1500 - a great price for a gorgeous DraftXPaint with extensive ground work. The proceedes go toward the many expenses of the Natural Horsemanship Equine Challenge which is a preventative educational program created by Spring Hill Horse Rescue. For more information and general inquiries regarding Pez, a yearling draftXPaint filly, please email springhillrescue@aol.com or call 802 775-1098.

He rides but needs a confident handler to get him back into the swing of things. His wonderful disposition makes him a great kids horse with proper instruction. ADOPTED! Aztec: Aztec is a handsome ArabXTennessee Walker gelding, around 14 years old, 15 hh. He was relinquished to Spring Hill Horse Rescue because his family was getting divorced and they wanted to make sure he got a good home. Aztec is a little heavy but does not require any medication. He would do best kept outside. He gets along well with other horses. He does ride but would need an experienced rider to get him back into riding.
